Can't Think of a Holiday Gift for Him?
If you're having trouble coming up with a gift idea for your guy, one special gift that he'll look forward to all year round is a subscription to Playboy.
Playboy magazine is a lot more than photos of some of the world's most beautiful women. They also have indepth interviews with the movers and shakers of the day as well as stereo reviews, music reviews and how to's that every guy should know - like to how to make the perfect martini and ideas for choosing gifts for his favorite lady.
Another aspect of
Playboy he might enjoy is collecting Playboy magazines. Every collection of Playboy mags is as unique as the collector themselves. There are collectors who simply collect specific Playmates such as Pamela Anderson and Anna Nicole Smith; then there are fans of certain movie stars and the Playboy issues that they have appeared in are part of their collection of star memorabilia.
Other collectors have Playboy collections for their value. Some of the older Playboy magazines, especially those from the 1950's are worth hundreds of dollars and more. Other Playboy collections include DVDs, Special Editions, The Girls of Winter and Summer issues and more. There's even a fun urban legend that circulates about the old issues of Playboy. From 1955 until 1979 there were a certain number of stars on the cover. The legend goes that the stars either stood for the number of times that Hef slept with the Playmate in that issue and that was his "assessment of her performance". The actual explanation from Playboy is less intriguing. The star system changed over the years, but it ranged from zero to 12 at its peak. The number of stars indicated the domestic or international advertising region for that edition of the magazine. The regions included a military edition, Canada, the United Kingdom, Chicago, Los Angeles metro, New York metro, eastern United States, southwestern United States, etc.
When you're having trouble thinking of a great gift that will send a smile to your favorite fella throughout the year, consider giving him the gift of Playboy!

Collecting Cindy Margolis
Cynthia D. "Cindy" Margolis (born October 1, 1965) is a different kind of Playmate. She wasn't discovered shopping in a mall, eating a hamburger or running along a beach, Cindy made herself a star.
She started a modeling career and while attending college in California she had a project in her business class where she created a business model about a greeting card business, Cindy then took it a step further and created her own line of flirty greeting cards with her own image on them.
Her modeling career took off when agents started inquiring who the beautiful model was that was on the cards. She went on to model for major companies such as Reebok, Vidal Sassoon, Coors, Hanes, and Sunkist. She also didn't wait for the people to find her greeting cards either, she created her own website to sell her cards from and was voted Yahoo! Internet Life magazine's "Queen of the Internet" from 1996-1999. She also found her way into the 2000 Guinness Book of World Records as a result of being the "most downloaded" person in 1999. At the age of 34, the peak of her popularity, she was downloaded 70,000 times in a span of 24 hours. Cindy never posed nude, that is until the
December 2006 issue of Playboy.
Cindy has made many appearances in Playboy but never fully nude, at the age of 40, she explained she decision to finally pose nude was to show the 20 year olds that they didn't have a thing on her! As part of her appearance in Playboy, a portion of the proceeds from issues sold will go to a charity for which Margolis is a spokesperson, Resolve. The charity aims to get fertility treatment better covered by insurance companies.
