Tila Tequila - Collectable Sensation

Playboy has helped launch the careers of many multi-talented women and Tila Nguyen also known as Tila Tequila, is one of them.

The exotic looking Eurasian model and singer was discovered in a Hollywood mall by a Playboy scout and became Playboy's Cyber Girl of the week for April 22, 2002; she also had the distinction of being the first Asian Cyber Girl of the Month.

Tila's popularity continued to grow and she not only has been featured in Playboy's Exotic Beauty Edition as well as the February 2003 Edition of Playboy. If you're wondering where the "Tequila" nickname came from, it is a nickname coined by Tila's friends due to her allergic reaction to alcohol.

Most recently Tila was featured on the cover of Maxim magazine in one of their highest grossing editions published to date. Tila was also featured in Stuff Magazine's top 100 sexiest women online for 2006.

Using her Playboy appearances as a launching point, Tila has gone on to appear in guest spots on numerous television shows, has become a video game character and even hosts a
show of her own called "Pants Off - Dance Off" where contestants strip to music videos to win cash and prizes.

With her modeling, acting and now that she was signed to a major label with her music career on the rise, you're sure to be seeing more and more of Tila in the future. Be sure to make this talented lady part of your collection!

Consider Collecting Calendars

If you want to collect Playboy products but you really don't want to get into the massive job of finding and collecting the magazines, a fun way for you to have items both old and new in your collection is to collect Playboy's line of calendars.

There are calenders that can be hung upon walls, desk calendars that will deliver 365 playmates and also special editions you can add to your collection such as swimsuit calendars and college girl editions. All will make a fun and diverse way to collect Playboy.

Start with the 1975 wall calendar and be sure to add the hard-to-find 1981 wall calendar to your collection as it has the late Dorothy Stratten on the cover. Dorothy was the Playmate of the Year in 1980 and was tragically murdered by her estranged husband the same year. This made the 1981 calendar very collectable. Another Playmate that is hotly collected is the 1994 wall calendar with the always interesting Anna Nicole Smith on the cover. Some Playboy collectors prefer to collect specific Playmates while other collectors fill in their collections year by year. Other collectors only collect the special edition calendars, many of which feature playmates that went on to become stars in their own right such as Pamela Anderson who is in the 1992 wall calendar edition and who has the distinction of gracing 11 Playboy covers.

These also make great unusual gifts for anyone that loves Playboy. Get someone a wall calendar or desk calendar from the year they were born or a year that marks a special occasion in their life. Your thoughtful gift may even convert a new Playboy calendar collector!
